how masseter botox works
Masseter Botox is an injectable treatment that targets the Masseter muscles on each side of the jaw. it's primarily used to relieve jaw tension, teeth clenching, and TMJ-related discomfort.
Botox or Dysport is injected directly into the Masseter muscle to relax it over time. most clients receive 20-30 units per side, and results develop gradually over 2-4 weeks.
some clients notice a slimming effect as the muscle relaxes, but that's secondary.
the goal is functional relief from tension and clenching.

the masseter is a thick muscle so most clients say it's less uncomfortable than forehead or crow's feet. a quick pinch on each side and you're done.
nothing to cancel plans for
you might feel mild soreness at the injection sites for a day or two. no swelling, no bruising for most people. nothing that changes your plans.
results build over 2 to 4 weeks
the muscle starts relaxing within days, but full relief from clenching, grinding, and tension takes 2 to 4 weeks. results can typically last 3 to 4 months.
