lip filler boise

your lips, just a little more you

Introduction

how lip filler works

Lip filler is an injectable treatment using hyaluronic acid (HA) gel to add volume, improve symmetry, and enhance definition in the lips.

Results are visible immediately, with healed results at 2 weeks, and can last 6-12 months.

A full syringe starts at $700 and a half syringe (mini lip) is $450.

hyaluronic acid lip filler can be dissolved if needed.

At The Dose Collective in Boise, Idaho, lip filler is performed exclusively by Kelli Dougherty, BSN, RN.

20 minutes, tops

most of that is discussing your goals, talking through pre and post care, and numbing. the actual injecting is quick. you'll be back to your day right after.

extremely little if not no pain, we promise

we numb everything first. most people say it's more weird than painful. dental block is always provided for extra comfort.

swelling and bruising is normal

can last 6 to 12 months

depends on your metabolism, the product used, and the area. most people come back once or twice a year to maintain.

lip filler faq

the stuff everyone asks.

we numb everything before we start, so most people say it's more pressure than pain. kelli also offers a dental block for extra comfort, which numbs the entire lip area. the actual injecting takes about 10-15 minutes.

typically 6 to 12 months depending on the product, your metabolism, and how much was placed. lips move a lot (talking, eating, kissing) so filler tends to break down faster here than in other areas. most people come back once or twice a year to maintain.

that depends entirely on how much you get and who does it. kelli's approach is to start conservative and build. a half syringe for shape and definition is virtually undetectable. even a full syringe done well just looks like you have really nice lips.

all the fillers we use are hyaluronic acid based, which means they can be dissolved at any time with an enzyme called hylenex. if you don't like the result, it's not permanent. dissolving starts at $200 per vial.

swelling is the most dramatic part of lip filler, especially days 1-3. your lips will look noticeably bigger than the final result during that window. don't panic and don't judge your results until week 2 when everything has fully settled. check out the swelling timeline on this page for a day-by-day breakdown.

absolutely. a mini lip (half syringe) is $450 and it's the most popular option for maintenance. it's enough to add subtle definition and hydration without a dramatic change. you can always add more a few months later.

kelli works with Restylane Kysse, Restylane Refyne, Restylane L, and Versa Lips. the product she recommends depends on your anatomy, your goals, and whether you've had filler before. she'll walk you through the reasoning at your appointment.

mini lip (half syringe) is $450. full syringe is $700. if you're building volume over multiple sessions, each session is priced per syringe. consultations are $50 and that amount goes directly toward your treatment.

aftercare

lip filler aftercare

the swelling timeline covers the big picture. here's the practical stuff for the first 48 hours.

01

no kissing, straws, or anything that puckers your lips for 24 hours.

02

ice 10 minutes on, 10 minutes off for the first few hours. don't press hard.

03

skip alcohol, hot drinks, and spicy food for 24 hours. they increase swelling.

04

sleep on your back and slightly elevated the first night if you can.

05

don't touch, squeeze, or massage your lips. let the filler settle where kelli placed it.

06

avoid heavy exercise, saunas, and steam rooms for 48 hours.

07

arnica and bromelain can help if bruising shows up. totally optional.
